Bar codes? Note worthy or nonsense?

K i got some. Made 4 because some might work better then the others.

Note: The order is not what i think we should try first. Probably try the lower ones first.

Ask me if you want them bigger

Most bar codes in the US are 12-digit UPC (Universal Product Code) barcodes, with ten digits at the bottom of the code and one small number to each side. Impress your friends by asking them to select a random item from the kitchen with a removable label and cut the numbers off of the UPC barcode; you can then proceed to read the numbers encoded in the lines. Note that barcodes are made up of both white and black lines. The white spaces in between the black lines are part of the code.

For the black lines there are four different thicknesses.

The decoder didnt like the first ones, but it liked the ones i attached. It just didnt find anything. It took alot longer to find nothing, so it knows there is something there.

Try inverting the colors on the ViDoc one. maybe that's the problem.
ODST is all about switches, isn't it?

Ok. Also, me and Enigma were wondering if you could download this, http://www.bruji.com/cocoa/barcode.html, and see if the results are different then mine. None of us can use this one because we dont have macs.

I wonder...would it be possible to open a shotcode and make it a rectangle, so you could read it like it was a barcode? Needs some investigation...

Imppa, in theory you could, you would uncurl the shotcode to form a line and you could draw the lines down from the filled in parts.

Ive tried Imppa theory, tried translating it to binary, made it into a barcode, fiddled with it a ton, and nothing works. If you would like the pictures, i will grant them to you.

On another note, the binary can be different every time you made a bar out of the shotcode. It all depends on where you start. I made a chart if the SGP wants to try everything to get their hands on the ARG.
You choose a number, and start the binary from there. If you do this, claim your number in a post so no one else chooses it.

Attached is the chart, and then the shotcode to use when decoding into binary.
