Got this tonight.  I was gonna try and keep it quiet at first, but if its legit then it should be shared with everyone and if its a hoax then it'll be easier to determine in the open.

Just eyeballing this- it's not ASCII.  First character is a space, second is value 127, third value is out of range.

And did you notice that the firts two lines are identical, when the third is much different?

Really you could probably cut and paste different set of code to make it say what ever you want. Although this is completely weird that you got the email. Really if anyone should have received an email I would have thought that it would be ColdGlider. It is suspicions but also suspect. If anything this "email" may cause more damage then good, taking away from whats being done here and turning the focus to something or someone F'n with the group.


Anyways, I hope its something but who knows....

I'd guess that the emails have as much validity as the notion that Sonic the Hedgehog is unlockable in Firefight Mode.  Lame antics by a lame troll.  I'd ignore them.

They're 100% bogus.  The word "sea" was flagrantly misused.  It's either a punk kid or a very unfortunate adult.  I'm sure the same person is also regularly trolling the sword thread over at B.net.

The strange email incident has now been 100% confirmed as bogus.  I tracked down the sender of the emails and we have been communicating amicably.  The person was simply trying to bolster the excitement of the community and didn't intend to do anything malicious.  They shall have the ability to remain safely anonymous as they have apologized and sworn not to do this again.  It really was something done out of excitement for the game.

So like I mentioned elsewhere, let's refocus on credible leads such as the Siege of Madrigal!
