Thanks! I keep seeing YouTube comments like "I looked for BOB X, and he wasn't there" so I thought I should clarify how it works.  Stay tuned for Exodus! I learned some things about the BOBs on that level that I don't think anyone else knows.

BOB Video Guide Part 7: Exodus (YouTube)

This one features a brief explanation of why Banshee BOBs were chosen, straight from Dan Miller (hint: it's already quoted in this thread) and never-before-seen explanations of what triggers the BOBs on this level.

I'm actually especially proud of that last part... lots of trial & error to determine the "box" size.  Want the raw images to mock yourself?  Check out my poor drawing skills (click to biggify):

Nice! Ah yes, the boxes. CG and I discovered them when trying to jack or stop the last Exodus Bobshee by jetpacking above them and falling in. For some reason we never made pictures or mentioned it to anyone, so it's good that you did that. I wonder if CG still has that "The Baggage of Exodus Bobshee 3" clip. It was an awesome clip.

It's entirely probable that no one will care about this, but I just wiped out two different Exodus BOBs in two consecutive no-death full-run Legendary games, and in one of those games I nabbed a Human "BOB".  This was thoroughly awesome.  I only just beat this level without dying for the first time yesterday, and now I have videos for all three BOBs in my file share.  Just wanted to share.

Good job on the Bob series, I know you still have to do the Lone Wolf one, but those videos are really helpful. Thanks for making them, I'll definitely post them in threads on Bungie.net and Halo.xbox.com when they're needed.
