1. If you don't know where to go reconsider geometry.
2. If you wander out of the map when you're supposed to be in the main sector then you need to retake geometry. Unless you're exploring.
3. Happens anyway, and doesn't really happen out of map. Die 5 times without reverting and you go to last checkpoint. Can't get stuck.
4. That doesn't even make sense... how can going out of the map ruin experience for others?
5. Agreed
6. Unintended, but true.
1.There's only a certain amount you can change the geometry, and that depends on the game's original enviroment (and if the change would make sense), and/or the time and manpower that can be put forth to change it.
2. Again, 1. Things involving flat geometry or open streets cant always have sudden changes in geometry while still looking realistic, and thus use invisible barriers which can make it more realistic or less, depending on how you/they perceive it.
3. You can't die in all situations, especially in games that don't have grenades or explosives. Nor do all of them provide reverting, and turning off the game console isn't a recommended option.
4. Imagine Multiplayer. Getting in spots that provide unfair advatanges. Glitching in Zombies to round 99 and being scoring a Perfection due to your awesome sniping spot out of the map, those are just two examples.
5. Because only games that provide the least fun sell the most. They do this for a reason and for precautions, Scat.
