Engineers giving us clues?
« on: October 14, 2009, 22:12:20 »
Today I decided to take a peek at squidhenge again. I parked my mongoose by the door and entered, grabbed the carbine and shot some of the stones to see what sound they made. Then I went looking for the pedestal and found it. I then moved it to the center of the circle and tried standing it upright with some nades, which freaked the engineers out.

After that I left, went to the district that I had entered squidhenge's district from, and came back. This is where it gets weird. I peeked around the door, which was still open. I saw one of the engineers examining two of the stones with his light, one from the outside of the ring and one from the inside. The stones that were examined were the two on opposite sides from the short stone facing the door.

Then I melee-d the lights out and noticed that the pedestal was not in the middle of the ring anymore. Then the engineers did a synchronized side-of-the-room to side-of-the-room slide with one above the other. I tried stopping them and the only way that I could was to Jump at one.

Could this mean that we need to shoot certain stones in an order, bash lights in an order? Maybe the engineers examination reveals the stones to shoot? Could the lights need to be broken in a certain order? with the pedestal in the middle? Food for thought.

Will try to get a vid, but I shut my console off without saving and quittting. :-\

Good theory there...Now we just have to constantly monitor those guys, lol. That could either be a really cool film, or a really boring film to fast forward through. Good luck, and welcome aboard!
