Your Theory #4 is of particular interest to me. When first learning of the 3 Stonehenge rooms, I drew up the following...

As you know, the 3 Stonehenge rooms are in Sectors 4, 5, and 6. You can practically draw a V straight through them. What happens when you put a straight line at the bottom of a V? Y! Makes me wonder if you were to put a person in each room, at the center of the Pillars, something would unlock somewhere on one of those lines, maybe that door in the bottom of Sector 6, unlocking an entrance to Sector 9 (which I have yet to get into, for some reason).
